The Saturday exception

Saturday night is the one time the off-premise window stretches: under § 105.05, sales that began Saturday may continue until 1:00 a.m. Sunday. It is the only extra hour of the week, and it runs out just as Sunday’s restrictions begin — package stores closed all day, and nothing at all until 10:00 a.m.

Finishing a drink after last call

Consumption on licensed premises becomes an offence fifteen minutes after the sale cutoff — 12:15 a.m. normally, or 2:15 a.m. in extended-hours areas. That quarter hour is the statutory grace period to finish a drink already bought.
